SEIU Denying Employee to Vote!

SEIU takes away employees’ rights to secret ballot votes in order to get more union dues.

SEIU’s strategy to unionize a workplace differs from the ideals of a democratic process. Rather than collecting signed petitions to hold a secret ballot vote on whether a majority of employees want to form a union, the SEIU prefers to pressure employers into a so-called “neutrality agreement” through a “corporate campaign.”

Fake Fast Food Strike by SEIU

By disguising multimillion-dollar SEIU organizing operations as grassroots “worker centers,” SEIU deceives employees and the public. As part of a campaign of fake “fast food strikes,” P.R. consultants paid an annual seven-figure retainer by the SEIU are leading an effort to extend SEIU’s top-down un-democratic unionization scheme to the restaurant industry.

Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations Opposes Proposition 8 – the Dangerous Dialysis Proposition

The #NoProp8 coalition continues to grow. The Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations (NEPO) officially opposes Prop 8 and has joined the #NoProp8 coalition. NEPO is coalition of more than 40 ethnic physician organizations in California.

Dr. Margaret Juarez, president of the Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations, stated, “Prop 8 is dangerous for all dialysis patients, and particularly for communities of color who have a higher incidence of kidney disease, and who live in areas where access to dialysis care is already strained. By forcing dialysis clinic reductions and closures, Prop 8 jeopardizes access to care for patients who need this critical treatment to survive.”
