CA Medical Association, 65 Organizations, Oppose Flawed Dialysis Proposition
The California Medical Association, representing 43,000 California physicians, today announced its opposition to the deeply-flawed dialysis proposition. In a press release, CMA said:
“For patients whose kidneys have failed, receiving dialysis is necessary to live,” said CMA President Theodore M. Mazer, M.D. “Missing even one appointment could be harmful or fatal. By limiting access to dialysis care, this dangerous proposition puts patients’ lives at risk.”
CMA is just the latest group to oppose this dangerous proposition. More than 65 organizations representing doctors, nurses, patient advocates, veterans, community and business groups are also opposed. They all know that we must defeat this ballot measure to protect dialysis patient access to care.
